You privacy is important to us. By using our Services, you will be publicly sharing information including but not limited to events that you schedule, and events that you attend. This information is shared via techuphq.com, and also on Twitter and GitHub. We collect information provided to us as a result of our Twitter and GitHub integration, and we also collect information on the settings page of your TechUp HQ profile. Please do not provide, or grant access to any information you don't want to share.
We use Twitter for authentication and also as a communication mechanism. Your username for TechUp HQ is the same as your Twitter username. Additionally, some of your Twitter profile information (your name and profile photo) is collected and displayed on your TechUp HQ profile page. If you would like to disable our access to your Twitter account, just modify your application permissions in the settings of your Twitter account. We may tweet about events your schedule, modify, or choose to attend if you ask us to. The tweet settings can be found on your TechUp HQ settings page accessible via your profile when you are logged in.
Event Planners may choose to enable GitHub integration. When GitHub integration is enabled, we will create a new repository in your account named "techuphq". This repository will contain a GitHub pages branch (gh_pages) that publishes a public website where you may blog and share other information with your group. It also includes a master branch that we use to share event files with others. If desired, we can automatically create event folders within the master branch where you can add files relevant to a particular event. Some features of our Services may update or modify files within the "techuphq" repository we create. You can disable GitHub integration via your profile page on TechUp HQ and also through the approved applications area of your GitHub account settings.
